MRI TechnologistCompensation: $31 to $45 depending on years of experiencePosition OverviewThe MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. This role involves preparing and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, administering contrast materials, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. The technologist uses sound judgment and technical expertise to capture precise images that assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.ResponsibilitiesExplain procedures clearly to patients and provide reassurance throughout the examPosition patients correctly to capture optimal images while ensuring comfort and safetyOperate MRI equipment and software, recognizing and reporting equipment malfunctions as neededAdminister intravenous/oral contrast safely and in accordance with protocolsAssist Radiologists with image-guided procedures, maintaining sterile technique and accurate documentationReview patient medical history, consent forms, and lab results to ensure safe imaging practicesLabel and document images appropriately, ensuring accuracy and completeness of recordsProvide coverage and support for MRI services as needed, including nights and weekends on rotationRequirements0–3 years of MRI technologist experience (new grads considered)Associate degree or completion of an accredited MRI program (ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT accepted)ARRT certification in Radiography and registration in MRI within 1 year of hire OR equivalent MRI-specific certificationKnowledge of cross-sectional anatomy strongly preferredBasic computer skills and ability to work with imaging softwareCurrent BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire)Compensation & DifferentialsLead differential availableEvening and night shift differentials availableBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverage403(b) retirement plan with company matchTuition reimbursement for career advancementEmployee discount programCompetitive paid time off (PTO)
