Coordinator Of MagnetThe Coordinator of Magnet shall be responsible for the effective management of the overall school-based specialty program and the class or classes to which they are assigned. The Coordinator of Magnet shall implement an educational program responsive to school needs according to state and local policy, including the Louisiana Components of Effective Teaching that aligns to the magnet component emphasized on site.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Drafts the school's recruitment plan and coordinates its implementation.Drafts the school's interaction plan and coordinates its implementation.Conducts the new student registration process.Conducts tours and speaks with prospective parents.Completed requisitions for materials monitors the process of receiving these materials, log materials when received and disperse them appropriately.Analyzes test data to identify areas of strength/weaknesses.Prepares yearly inventory of materials.Prepares reports as requested by the Office of Magnet Programs.Serves as liaison between the site program and the Office of Communications to provide press releases and scheduled event dates for publication in district, local, state and national periodicals.Markets programs at the annual Back-to-School Expo.Prepares class rolls for the coming school year.Plans and prepares an appropriate budget.Assumes responsibilities for the opening and closing of school activities.Other Duties: Other duties as assigned that are related to the functions of the position.Essential Functions/Qualifications/Requirements:Education and Experience: A Master's Degree from an accredited college/university or five years work experience preferred. Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.
