Machinists (1st Shift)

Machinist Opportunity at Penn Machine CompanyPenn Machine Company LLC, a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway Company, is a leading manufacturer of products and services for the transit, railroad, oil/gas, and mining industries. We are seeking a qualified individual for a full-time position in Blairsville, PA.Our Machinists operate equipment necessary to produce quality components to specifications on prints while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Normal schedule is Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm.Primary Responsibilities:Operate and maintain operation of CNC lathes, mills, and/or gear grinders as well as hand and power tools as required to perform job assignments.Replace worn inserts, drills or tooling and adjust feed/speed rates.Complete work assignments and associated reports in a timely manner.Verify machine components with measuring instruments to ensure parts are made within tolerances.Operate powered industrial forklift and crane hoist to transfer and position materials as needed.Maintain a safe, clean and well organized work area.Requirements for Positions:Machining background - knowledge of and/or machining background. Programming experience and training is preferred.
