You’ll follow clear blueprints and work orders to create quality metal parts, maintain tolerances, and ensure proper setup and inspection of your work. You’ll work independently after initial training and collaborate with higher-level machinists as needed.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Operate lathes, mills, grinders, saws, and hand tools to machine partsFollow blueprints, program readouts, and instructions to meet specificationsSelect proper tools, speeds, feeds, and materials based on work ordersInspect work using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and preset instrumentsAdjust machines manually to control tolerances as neededMaintain safety, cleanliness, and organization in the work areaAssist in basic fixture creation and rough setups with guidanceReport to supervisors or higher-level machinists for troubleshooting or complex setupsCompensation and BenefitsCompensation: Pay will be offered based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.
