Job TitleAir Reserve Technician (ART) Journey-Level MechanicThe primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) journey-level mechanic that inspects, machines, welds, and repairs aircraft parts and components, to design and manufacture support equipment used in all types of aircraft maintenance, and to train reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.Duties:Troubleshoots, overhauls, machines and repairs various types and sizes of industrial plant/facilities equipment.Performs complex, intricate, specialized, or nonstandard machining. Performs various welding assignments.Plans, develops, writes and/or updates complex coded source programs in one or two designated computer command languages.Ensures compliance and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in all work areas.Controls tools. Certifies work produced under the USAF Technical Order Program.
