MachinistWalton, KYCompensation IncludesStarting pay rate $34.37/hourAvailable Shift7:00am - 7:00pmRotating Days:Week 1: Thursday, Friday, SaturdayWeek 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, SaturdayOverviewCompletes machine adjustments, modifications and repairs, based on plant needs. Job duties may vary, based on level of proficiency. Different levels are attained by passing test.ResponsibilitiesContinuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures.

Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazardsKeep work area clean and organized, per standardsFollow all applicable food service policies and proceduresFollow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as requiredMake plate cylinders, ensuring they fit appropriately down to each detailMake gears, figuring and ensuring correct dimensions, using gear shaperRepair machine breakdowns as neededBuild up, grind and reweld shaftsWeld various items made of steel, cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel; braze or weld brassHandle sheet metal work, such as making guards and ink pansWork on special projects as assignedRespond to radio calls as neededHandle dismantling and rebuilding workGrind rubber rollsMake parts needed, ensuring that specifications are correctCut shaftsDraw blueprints and sketches of workKeep equipment cleanMeet/achieve job goals set forth by managementQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMachinist trade school experience is preferred3-5 years of applicable work experience is requiredSolid understanding of company machinery in order to handle job dutiesAbility to set up and run lathes and milling machines (Bridgeport)Will make cylinders and ink pans, chaise threads, make complete parts and determine correct specifications#INDQSRCompany BenefitsWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
