MachinistPosition: CNC MachinistCategory: ManufacturingJob Overview: We are seeking a skilled Machinist to support a diverse mix of repair, custom, prototype, and production work. This role must preserve the craftsmanship and technical expertise our existing team has while helping the organization continue to advance through technology, innovation, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will help bridge traditional machining knowledge with the next generation of manufacturing capabilities; by respecting traditional machining methods, and understanding when manual work provides value, while also embracing CNC technology, automation, and lean principles to achieve the best overall result.Duties:Set up and operate manual, mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and CNC machining centers.Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, models, specifications, and work instructions.Determine appropriate machining processes, tooling, speeds, feeds, and setups.Manufacture custom parts, repair components, tooling, fixtures, and production items to required tolerances.Utilize precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other inspection tools to perform quality inspections.Collaborate with departmental personnel to develop practical solutions.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline processes.Position Requirements:Proven experience with programming, setup, and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes (Mazatrol controls preferred)Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawingsProficiency in Mastercam or similar for design review and modificationsExperience with programming for toolpath generation and optimizationMechanical aptitude with understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and manufacturing principlesAbility to use measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machinesBasic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and dimensionsPAUL'S Machine and Welding Corp is an Equal Opportunity Employer that prohibits discrimination or harassment of any type.
