MachinistWe are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual and CNC machine tools to produce precision parts according to customer specifications and blueprints. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.Responsibilities:Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill pressesRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and sequencesSelect appropriate tools, materials, and machining methods for each jobPerform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instrumentsMonitor machining operations to ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerancesPerform routine maintenance on machines and toolingInspect finished parts for defects and ensure conformance to specificationsMake adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain accuracyMaintain a clean and safe work environmentDocument production activities and maintain accurate recordsCollaborate with team members and management to improve processes and efficiencyRequirements:Minimum 1 year of experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environmentProficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawingsHands-on experience with manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, etc.)Working knowledge of precision measuring instrumentsUnderstanding of machining processes, tooling, and materialsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood mathematical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with CNC programming and operationVocational or technical training in machiningExperience in custom or job shop manufacturingFamiliarity with CAD/CAM softwareKnowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
