Manual MachinistSet up and operate large manual lathes and milling machines to machine complex parts to precise specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, tolerances, and machining requirements to determine proper machining methods.Perform manual machining operations including turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, slotting, and contouring.Calculate and adjust feeds, speeds, and depths of cut based on material type and job requirements.Machine a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, titanium, plastics, and other alloys.Complete machine setups, tooling changes, workpiece alignment, and fixture installation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Monitor machining operations, identify tooling wear or vibration issues, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.Operate large manual lathes with up to 50"-60" swing and work on parts up to 40 feet in length.Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality.Maintain a safe work environment while working with large industrial equipment in a hands-on machine shop setting.Qualifications:Previous experience operating manual lathes and milling machines.Strong blueprint reading and machining math skills.Experience with machine setup, tool changes, and precision measurement tools.CNC machining experience is a plus.Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
