Machinist Supervisor - Second Shift

As a Machining Supervisor, you'll guide a skilled team, ensure production goals are met, and maintain the high standards required for Centrus' mission-critical programs. This is a role for someone who thrives on precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Manage a group of Machinists and Senior Machinists to ensure schedules are met and production goals achieve positive variancesReport project status and progress to management as neededMaintain strong communication and seamless collaboration with design, manufacturing, operations, and testing teamsSet up and operate machines to verify performance, capability, and conformance to customer specificationsInterpret prints, sketches, diagrams, specs, handbook formulas, layouts, and apply shop math (including trigonometry and descriptive geometry)Use all precision measuring tools—calipers, micrometers, gauges, dial indicators—to ensure part quality and configuration.Select and install tools, fixtures, machine attachments, and equipment, identifying and correcting faulty tools when neededMonitor machining systems, including mechanical, electrical/electronic diagnostics, cutter data, probes, and sensors to adjust machine performanceMaximize machine capacity while reducing setups and machining timePerform bench work and finishing operations to ensure parts meet required specificationsAnalyze drawings and specifications to plan machining operations and build sequencesEnsure alignment, tolerances, finishes, and functionality meet engineering and manufacturing standards5+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment2+ years of supervisory or team-lead experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a "Q" clearanceCompletion of an apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job trainingExperience with Esprit CAD/CAM and CREO Manufacturing softwareAn active Q ClearanceEstimated Starting Base Salary Range: $80,310-133,850.

This position is Bonus eligible.
