This posting is based on your job description.What You'll DoAs a Machinist, you will:Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to manufacture precision componentsLoad, verify, and adjust machine programsSelect and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding devicesRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructionsPerform first-piece, in-process, and final inspectionsMeasure parts using:CalipersMicrometersHeight gaugesBore gaugesDial indicatorsOther precision inspection equipmentAdjust offsets and tooling to maintain tight tolerancesPerform preventative maintenance and basic machine maintenanceTroubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvementsMaintain a clean and organized workspace utilizing 5S principlesCollaborate with programmers, engineers, and production personnelComplete production documentation accuratelyFollow all safety policies and OSHA requirementsQualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum 3 years of machining experience or completion of a 2-year technical machining programAbility to read blueprints and technical drawingsWorking knowledge of G-Code and M-CodeUnderstanding of tooling selection, feeds, and speedsExperience using precision measuring instrumentsStrong mechanical aptitudeExcellent troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detailPreferredExperience with:CNC machine setupHaas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar controlsGD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)CAM-generated programsLean ManufacturingContinuous Improvement initiativesScheduleFull-TimeMonday–Friday7:00 AM – 3:30 PMOvertime opportunities available based on production demandsWhy Join Mactech?At Mactech, you'll build products that support critical infrastructure and industrial projects across North America.
