Job TitleJob Overview:Responsibilities:Perform heat treatment processes including carburizing, plating, hardening, tempering, annealing, and stress relieving.Read and interpret thermometers, ammeters, voltmeters, and other indicating/recording instruments.Use measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality standards.Complete quality forms and required documentation.Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.Set up induction heaters and perform trial runs.Determine appropriate voltage, current, frequency, feed rates, speed, coil type, and water flow for operations.Inspect sample pieces for hardness and distortion; interpret results to ensure proper hardening techniques.Utilize material handling equipment as needed.Identify and correct operational issues independently or escalate when related to equipment or materials.Perform tasks independently, seeking assistance only for complex or unusual jobs.Consistently produce work that meets required quality and quantity standards.Required Qualifications:Ability to use basic measuring tools such as scales and calipers.Basic math skills.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.Education And Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Preferred Skills:Experience with induction heating processes and heat treatment techniques.
