We foster a culture of love for God and love for others, trust and teamwork, and a collaborative environment in which we get to do our best work every day.Machine, weld, fabricate, and assemble structural and mechanical products, such as framework or shells for theatrical sets and scenery from blueprints.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, maintain, and repair machining tool (mills, lathe, grinders, etc.) to shape and cut metal parts.Fabricate, install, repair and assemble mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components for set pieces and other in house projects.Form, shape, weld, assemble, and clean all forms of metal connections in set pieces and other theatrical structures.Assist in the installation and strike of sets and scenic elements on stage during show changeovers.All other duties as assigned.PrerequisitesSelf-motivatedAbility to read, understand, and follow both digital and paper blueprints and drawingsExperience welding, operating lathes, drill press, and other metal fabricating equipmentExperience with Solidworks and eDrawings preferredAbility to work closely with welders and engineers to ensure parts are made to applicable specifications and on timeThe physical demands of this position are active in nature. You will be expected to be on your feet frequently, walk and stand regularly, consistently communicate with team members using a radio, work indoors, use ladders and other lift equipment, operate heavy machinery and power tools, and frequently lift/exert up to 50 lb.s of force.
