CNC MachinistAfinitas is hiring for a 2nd shift CNC machinist!Afinitas is the leading manufacturer of robotic concrete pipe machinery and form equipment.We work Monday-Thursday with 10-hour shifts. Our 2nd shift is 2:45 pm-12:45 am, with a $2-an-hour shift differential.Essential functions and responsibilities include:Programming, setting up, and operating OKUMA CNC machine centers.Operating both overhead and jib style cranes.Operating fork trucks and other power equipment.Ability to operate all machines in a safe and productive manner.Inspection of finished parts using precision measuring tools (ex. Calipers, micrometers)Performing required preventative maintenance.Collaborate with engineers and team members to improve production efficiencyAll other duties assigned.Qualifications include:2 year CNC machinist degree and/or previous work experience as a machinist.Set-up and operate one of the following machines: (Okuma Mill/Okuma VTM)Read and interpret prints without supervision and/or direction.Experience with Master Cam program.Experience with SolidWorks program.Work environment involves a plant/manufacturing environment that includes the use of industrial machinery and chemicals.
