Piqua is a community of 22,000, which offers a friendly, small-town atmosphere yet is still an easy drive to Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati.Machinist ResponsibilitiesThe CNC Machinist is responsible to operate one or more machine tools or special purpose machines to machine metal parts to required specifications in a state of the art manufacturing facility.Typical Machinist Job Activities1) Run standard operating procedures on multiple axis machines2) Contact Manufacturing Services to troubleshoot process problems3) Change perishable tooling when required4) Install new tool holders5) Follow set up instructions to set up CNC machines6) Follow inspection plans to inspect parts7) Communicate to co-workers on status of cell operations8) Participate in continuous improvement activities9) Troubleshoot tooling as required10) Work holding (fixturing – chucking)RequirementsMachinist Experience:High School Diploma or GED required; 1-3 years of experienceMachinist Technical Skills1) Machining Experiencea.
