As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Your work will involve interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent3+ years of experience as a MachinistProficiency in precision measuring tools and machine shop mathAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specificationsExperience with manual lathes and tool and die workPreferred Qualifications:Experience with deburring and finishing techniquesExperienced in machining pump components such as cases, impellers, wear-rings, bearing housings, covers.Sufficient mathematical skills required to perform machining tasks.Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.Candidates experienced in the pump or rotating equipment industry strongly preferred.Manual dexterity to maneuver and handle parts and tooling.Responsibilities:Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instrumentsInterpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specificationsInspect finished products for accuracy and qualityMaintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly mannerResponsible for manufacture and modification of parts, and operation of machinery to manufacture precision partsMust be able to hold close tolerancesThe Manual Machinist uses their knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, and machining procedures to manufacture and modify customers partsWell versed in the use of Manual lathes and Manual mills, and general shop toolsMust be able to use precision measuring instrumentsEnsure parts meet precise specificationsAs a Machinist, you will use your expertise in precision measuring, machine tools, machine shop, manual lathe, tool and die, blueprint reading, machining, and deburring to produce high-quality precision parts and instruments.

You will work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure that finished products meet exacting standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential to your success in this role.
