This position demands strong, self?sufficient machining skills, proficiency working with varied materials, and the capability to collaborate effectively with technical personnel in a controlled, reliability?focused setting.ResponsibilitiesProduce high?accuracy parts using stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and a range of other materials.Configure, operate, and diagnose issues on both manual and CNC machining equipment with minimal oversight.Provide machining support for R&D, prototype builds, model shop tasks, and production operations.Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and detailed technical documentation.Develop, edit, and run CNC programs as needed for machining operations.Create, adjust, and refine tooling, fixtures, and related setup components.Uphold equipment functionality, organize tooling, and maintain an orderly shop environment.Track tooling and raw material inventory and communicate replenishment needs to management.Work closely with Engineering and R&D teams to advance product design and manufacturing readiness.QualificationsExtensive background in precision machining within a manufacturing setting.Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction.Proficiency working with a wide range of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and various plastics.Hands?on operation of manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, Prototrak RMX bed mills, Haas ST?15 CNC lathes, band saws, and grinding equipment.Experience designing and developing tooling and fixtures.Skilled in CNC programming using conversational controls and/or G?code.Strong capability in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.Background supporting both prototype/R&D shop work and production?floor machining.
