Machine Shop TechnicianPerform manual machine tasks as needed to support our rotor shop and field service divisionKey FunctionsMachine parts to within drawing specifications utilizing manual machinesMeasure and record existing parts for reverse engineering purposesManufacture parts utilizing a sample part as reference*This job description is a summary of the primary job scope and should not be assumed as an all-inclusive description*Work QualificationsRequired:Ability to set up and safely operate small engine lathes, milling machines, large vertical lathes, boring mills and misc. other common machine shop equipment.Ability to accurately utilize micrometers (ID and OD), calipers etc. for precision measuring of parts.Ability to read a blueprintFamiliar with overhead crane operationFamiliar with forklift operation.Experience in utilizing hand and bench grindersExperience in using band sawsPreferred:Welding experience is a plusEducational RequirementsRequired:Minimum of 2 years' experience operating machine shop equipmentWork EnvironmentWillingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the role.Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time or until the end of the assigned shift.Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
