Assemble tools, fixtures, and machinery with regard to fit, form, and function.ResponsibilitiesConstruct new tools and dies as requiredReview drawings and specificationsDesign jigs and fixturesPlan and implement order of operation to manufacture partsCalculate speeds, feed, and depth of cutInspect parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, gauge pins, and other toolsMachine parts to tight tolerances (0.005)Machine parts to require surface finishRepair and maintain production tools and die sTroubleshoot tooling equipment then repair as requiredModify dies to conform to engineering changesWork to blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions, basic GDTSet up and operate machines: Drill Press, Engine Lathe, Milling Machine (knee and bend), Surface Grinder, ID/OD Grinder, Honing Machine, and CNC Lathes & MillsorBasic programming using G code or ConversationalHandle confidential information on a regular basisTake on and complete any work that is assigned by the tool room Area/Shift leadersPreferred: CAD/CAM & Hydraulics and PneumaticsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredAt least 5 years' experience in a machine shop environmentFamiliarization with Cam and G code programmingMust have all basic tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicatorsAbility to understand and follow English instructionsGood basic math and algebra skillsAbility to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to work flexible hours and overtime as requiredAbility to use computer and software as requiredAbility to work with blueprints and sketchesMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 70 pounds; transfer 50-100 pounds with the help of another personMust be able to bend, squat, twist, and kneelAbility to use hand/power toolsMust be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per weekBenefits401(k)Discretionary Bonus ProgramFamily Oriented CultureHealth BenefitsDental InsuranceLife InsuranceShort Term DisabilityHose Master is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
