MachinistThe Machinist fabricates new drip tape lines and sets up and operates a variety of CNC and manual machines. This role requires strong proficiency in reading and working from CAD and SolidWorks blueprints, as well as using precision measuring tools to ensure high-quality, accurate components in a manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesFabricate new drip tape lines according to specifications and production requirements.Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts.Set up and operate manual mills and lathes, including equipment such as Bridgeport mills and Southbend lathes.Operate saws, including Kalamazoo saws, to cut materials to required dimensions.Read, interpret, and work from CAD and SolidWorks blueprints to machine parts accurately.Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.Maintain machines and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.Follow all safety procedures while working near moving mechanical parts and electrical equipment.Adapt to varying environmental conditions, including temperature changes and noise, while performing essential job functions.Essential SkillsProven ability to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.Hands-on experience with manual milling and lathe operations, including Bridgeport mills and Southbend lathes.Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD and SolidWorks blueprints.Skilled use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.Practical experience with milling, lathe work, manual machines, and CNC machines.Minimum of 3 years of machining experience, or 1 year of experience combined with related technical schooling.Additional Skills & QualificationsRelated technical or vocational schooling in machining, manufacturing, or a similar field.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality parts.Ability to follow safety protocols and work responsibly around moving mechanical parts and electrical equipment.Capacity to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels and environmental conditions.Why Work Here?This opportunity offers a stable and supportive environment with low turnover, demonstrated by long-tenured team members.
