Machinist (Entry/Mid-Level)Specter Aerospace is seeking an entry/mid-level machinist to produce components for hypersonic flight vehicles and ground testing. They will machine a high-mix, low-volume of parts in a prototyping environment. The individual will have the opportunity to work on a flexible schedule.Specter Aerospace is building the next generation of hypersonic vehicles for defense and commercial applications.

Specter is expanding its team in preparation for flight testing and full-scale production.Role & Responsibilities:Program, set up, and operate various CNC machines (Haas Experience preferred)As well as experience with manual milling/turningInspect finished components to ensure they meet tolerance requirementsWork with engineering teams to advise on design for manufactureSelect appropriate fixtures and tooling for partsAssist with equipment maintenance and workplace housekeepingWork with both safety and efficiency in mindJob Requirements:High School or Vocational School Diploma or equivalent job experience1+ years of experience working with both manual and CNC mills and lathesUnderstanding of calculations for feeds, speeds, and tool selectionComfort with project autonomy and fast-paced, quick-turn work environmentsProficiency in CAM software and working from engineering drawingsAbility to obtain a SECRET level security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)Desired Skills:Experience with CAD/CAM software (Solidworks / HSMWorks CAM/Featurecam preferred)Familiarity with Haas controls preferredExperience with precision measuring equipmentMust be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a U.S.
