Yoh fulfills immediate resource needs and delivers managed and outsourced solutions.Location: 1275 N Newport Rd Colorado Springs CO USA 80916 Position: Machinist Company: UTC Aerospace Pay Rate - $12 -$16/hr Schedule: 1 First shift position 1 Second shift position - (2:30 – 11:15pm) Job Description Summary Essential Responsibilities:Operate cold saw and automated band sawStock and identify all incoming cell raw materialCut incoming raw material to size per orderMaintain correct inventory of raw material in cellMaintain proper condition of measuring instrumentsMaintain proper cutting conditions of sawsMeet or exceed required output hoursMaintain a clean and hazard-free work cellAchieve required part cosmetics with manual operationsCross-train on different types of machining centersPerform all required preventive maintenance in work cellParticipate in all team stand-ups and use safe ergonomic practices in performing jobLook for ways to eliminate safety hazards and improve the overall safety of the workplaceProvide continuous improvement ideas in order to support lean and ACE initiativesEnsure quality products utilizing UTAS quality proceduresQualificationsBasic Qualifications Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Required:2 years relevant CNC experienceSkills Required:Read and understand EnglishAbility to set up and operate cold and automated band saws according to specifications and tooling instructions, while under the supervision of othersAbility to read blue prints with some supervisionBasic mechanical knowledgeBasic Computer SkillsBasic Shop Math SkillsWilling to cross-trainAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work in a high-paced environment to support and stage other machining cells with daily workWilling to perform hand and body warm-up exercises to minimize potential for repetitive motion injuriesAbility to lift up to 40 lbsMust be able to work in a standing position up to 8 hours per dayAvailability to work overtime as neededAttendance Standards:Consistently be at work and communicate appropriately any attendance issues with your supervisor as per policyConsistently at their work station at the appropriately scheduled timeDoes not abuse breaks and/or departure times
