Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Machinist with experience operating CNC mills and lathes, as well as manual machine tools. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working from prints, setting up jobs, holding tight tolerances, and producing quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports both production and short-run / repair work.Shift Hours are Monday-Friday 1:45PM-10:15PMKey ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC mills and CNC lathesOperate manual mills, manual lathes, drill presses, band saws, and precision grinding equipmentRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructionsSelect proper tooling, fixtures, and measuring equipmentInspect parts using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, etc.)Make basic program edits at the machine as needed (offsets, wear, minor changes)Maintain part quality and meet production requirementsPerform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organizedFollow all safety, quality, and company proceduresCommunicate issues related to tooling, materials, or machine performance to supervisionRequired QualificationsExperience running CNC milling and turning equipmentExperience operating manual mills and lathesAbility to hold close tolerances and perform precision workStrong understanding of machining fundamentals (feeds, speeds, tooling, materials)Ability to read blueprints and use standard inspection toolsDependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently on 2nd shiftPreferred QualificationsCNC setup experienceExperience with short-run or job shop workExperience with precision grinding (surface or cylindrical)Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsTrade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experienceWE HAVE:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range: $20.40 - $37.80 Per Hour Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
