Machinist & Lathe ProgrammerDirect hire: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Machinist & Lathe Programmer to join a dynamic team in a climate-controlled atmosphere. As a CNC Machinist/Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Lathe machines within established standards. This position is responsible for machining and producing complex parts on CNC machines to tight tolerance design specifications in an accurate and timely manner.

Strong programming skills are a must. Studies blueprint/drawings and sample parts to determine part dimensions, tolerances, and best sequence of operations needed to machine parts. Strong analytical and communication skills.

Ability to troubleshoot issues. Ability to maintain and repair Lathes is required. Location: Morgantown, PA.

Pay Range: $30hr - $35hr (weekly paid) Schedule: M - F, 6a - 2:30pm, Hours may change as business needs change (Adjusted to 5:30am - 2pm) +OTBenefits: Medical, dental, vision (1st of month after initial 60 days), 9 paid holidays and birthday paidEssential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsResponsibilities:Performing necessary adjustments, attachments, and assemblies according to setup instructionsManipulating controls and entering commands into the index cutting tool to specify a set pointObserving and listening to machine operation to detect malfunctionsAdjusting machine feed and speed, and changing cutters to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctionMachining materials - steel, aluminum, titanium, plastic, silicon and other materials.Must have ability to adhere to all safety requirements and drug free workplace requirements.Ability and willingness to set up various machines to be ran by machine operators.Guide and train operators on processes needed to maintain high quality and production requirementsCompetencies:Communication ProficiencyOrganizational SkillsTime ManagementTechnical CapacityCustomer/Client FocusPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Solid technical training, experience, and a stable work history are vital for this roleMust be able to set up and perform work with minimal assistance while maintaining a clean workMust be safety-conscious, ethical, and eager to learn and grow with the companyEducation: • High school diploma or equivalent certification • Machine Operation experience and/or Trade/Technical school training • Experience working on conventional machines or 2- or 4- Axis CNC lathes, various metals, and plastics PPE: All provided, except for safety boots ($100 per year reimbursement on boots, and $100 toward safety glasses)
