Job TitleSetting up and operating manual latheInterpreting blueprints and technical drawingsUsing controls and precision measurement toolsPerforming lathe machining operationsConducting quality checksUtilizing precision measurement devicesMonitoring machine operationsPlan and perform rough and finish machining on a variety of machines both CNC and manualPerform setups independentlyOperate and understand advanced machine tools (i.e. CNC)Perform other duties as responsibilities necessitateCandidate ProfileKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesCandidate must be able to work over 8 hours in a shiftCrane and hoisting experience a plusYou must be able to read blueprints/geometric tolerancesInstrumentation /Gaging skills requiredMust be familiar with machinist tools and hand tools (micrometers, verniers, indicators, scales, dial bore gage)Must be open to coaching and training with a willingness to learn all machines within a cellSome physical effort (avg. 25 lbs)US Citizenship is required for DOD requirementsEducation & ExperienceMust have HS diploma or GED equivalent; concentration in machining would be a plusMinimum of three years experience requiredCompany BackgroundCircor International is one of the world's leading providers of mission critical flow control products and services for the Industrial and Aerospace & Defense markets.
