Machinist PositionPerforms machinist operations to manufacture components from various materials that will be used in the build of automated assembly equipment and other miscellaneous engineered components per internal and external design specifications. The ability to perform the following duties will be required for this position.Essential FunctionsCreate and optimize CNC machining programs for 3 axis VMC mills, 4 axis lathes, and CNC Boring MillUtilize CAM software, such as Fusion 360, to create machining programsRead and interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements and specificationsSet up machines and fixtures as required to produce custom partsProgram and operate CNC machines using G-Code and M-CodePerform manual machining tasks as neededMaintain a clean and organized work areaCollaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processesCommunicates with supervisors, peers and engineers concerning production issues, changes, and concernsLoad and unload products using forklift trucks and material handling equipmentUtilize overhead crane and lifting straps to move various partsTroubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines to maintain optimal performanceAll other duties as assignedQualifications - ExternalEducation and TrainingHigh School diploma or G.E.DMachine Tool Program and/or Weld Program certificate from a Technical School is a plusMinimum QualificationsMust have 5-7 years machinist experienceHands-on experience in tooling, fixturing and methods is requiredExperience with machine brands such as Haas, Heidenhain and Mazak is a plusExperience with CAD/CAM software is a plusExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposesGood communication and personal skills.Able and willing to travel up to 10%Physical DemandsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis50% of time spent stooping, kneeling, walking, and standingSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusEnvironmental ConditionsMust be able to work in non-environmental controlled environment (hot in summer months/cool in winter months)The employee is exposed to dust/debris (eye protection required)OilManufacturing noise levels (use of hearing protection required)Hendrickson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
