Machining Supervisor Trainee - Swing ShiftAre you ready to take the next step in your career and grow into a leadership role? Lynden Door is looking for a Machining Supervisor Trainee to join our Machining Department. This position is designed for an experienced team member who wants to transition from a strong technical contributor into an effective people leader.As a Machining Supervisor Trainee, you'll continue building your machining knowledge while developing the leadership skills needed to supervise a team.

You'll learn how to schedule production, coach employees, conduct performance reviews, manage attendance, and partner with leadership to create a safe, productive, and positive work environment.Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Machining Supervisor Trainee, you will:Learn to schedule daily production workloads and execute the production planCoordinate production activities with the opposite shift to ensure smooth operationsCommunicate production updates and priorities through daily shift handoffs and emailMaintain and update the department's production scheduleDistribute production paperwork to machining centersLearn payroll, timecard, and attendance processesDevelop the skills to coach team members and conduct performance reviewsAssist with training and retraining employees using SOPs and TWI methodsTroubleshoot machining issues and identify appropriate resources when neededSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the departmentPromote safe work practices while following all quality, safety, and LOTO procedureAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is:Interested in developing into a leadership positionA strong communicator who enjoys working with and supporting othersDependable, organized, and accountableAble to prioritize work and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentA problem solver with a continuous improvement mindsetCommitted to maintaining a safe and positive workplaceRequired ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong knowledge of machining operations and production processesAbility to use Microsoft Office programs and production softwareExperience with Editor software is preferredDemonstrated ability to train, coach, or mentor others is a plusWorking knowledge of safety procedures, quality standards, and LOTO practicesWhat We OfferInternal candidates selected for this role will receive:Wage: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. + Swing Shift PremiumA structured opportunity to develop supervisory and leadership skillsOngoing coaching and mentorship from experienced leadersMore About Our CompanyWe are an equal opportunity employer and one of North America's leading manufacturers of interior wood doors.
