Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Machining Supervisor to lead CNC machining operations and provide both technical and people leadership. This role requires someone with deep machining knowledge who can effectively lead machinists while working closely with Quality, Programming, Engineering, and outside vendors.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day CNC machining department operations
- Provide technical guidance related to machining, tooling, prints, and GD&T
- Work collaboratively with Quality, Programming, Engineering, machinists, and vendors
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, process, and production problems
- Coach, train, and develop machining employees
- Cross-train employees to improve department flexibility
- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, and overall department performance
- Establish expectations and maintain accountability
- Support continuous improvement throughout machining operations
Qualifications
- Approximately 10 years of CNC machining experience
- 5–10 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience in a larger machining or manufacturing operation
- Strong blueprint and GD&T knowledge
- Strong CNC machining and troubleshooting knowledge
- Proven ability to coach and develop employees
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
