Machine Shop SupervisorWe're hiring a Machine Shop Supervisor to run our 3rd shift team. You'll be the one steering the floor overnight: keeping the department safe, on schedule, and staffed right, while building real relationships with the hourly team and union officials you work alongside every night.Machine Shop Supervisor Responsibilities:Run daily operations in the machining department, assigning tasks and setting the workflow for your shiftKeep the shop safe and cleanSet daily and project goals and staff work centers to hit productivity targetsPush continuous improvement in how the department runsCoach and train hourly employees, and work through problems as they come upKeep information moving clearly between shiftsMaintain strong relationships with hourly employees and union officersHandle performance evaluations, attendance, and disciplinary matters fairly and consistentlyKeep accurate timekeeping recordsMachine Shop Supervisor Qualifications:High school diploma required3 to 5 years of experience in machining2 to 5 years supervising in a manufacturing environment, metalworking preferredPrevious supervisory experience in a union environmentSolid knowledge of machining fundamentals, equipment, and processesStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsJourneyman Machinist or Tool & Die Maker papers a plusTwo or four year technical degree in machining a plusMachine Shop Supervisor Additional Details:Compensation starting at $80,000, plus a 10% shift differential for working 3rd shiftLocation: York, PA, onsiteShift: 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AMDirect hire opportunity with full benefits
