Level 3 Machinist (CNC Machine Shop)- Pay up to $24.47/hr- IN
Location: Lafayette, IN
Pay: $24.47/hr
Shift:
* 1st Shift: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM | $24.47/hr
* 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM | $25.33/hr
* 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM | $25.33/hr
Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC machines.
* Load raw materials and unload finished parts.
* Perform metal cutting, drilling, grinding, reaming, and deburring operations.
* Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, dial indicators, and tape measures.
* Read blueprints, control plans, and work instructions.
* Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials.
* Troubleshoot machining and quality issues.
* Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
* Follow all safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
* Manufacturing or machine shop experience.
* Experience operating machines in a production environment (CNC preferred).
* Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
* Ability to perform quality inspections and verify specifications.
* Basic math skills for measurements and tolerances.
* Ability to read and interpret measuring devices accurately.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Blueprint reading experience.
* Quality inspection experience.
* Deburring experience.
* Forklift operation experience.
* Experience with drill presses, grinding machines, boring mills, and machine setup/changeovers.

The pay range for this position is $24.47 - $24.47/hr.
