We encourage anyone who shares our values to apply today!We are proud to offer our employees:Apprenticeship and Comprehensive Training ProgramsPaid Holidays Upon HireCompetitive Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHSA with Employer ContributionPaid Time OffCompany Paid Short-Term Disability & Life InsuranceSafety Bonus ProgramEmployee Stock Ownership ProgramWork Travel IncentiveHoliday BonusCompany provided toolsAnd so much more!Responsibilities:Support other apprentices, machinists, and lead machinists on various projectsFollow instructions from foreman and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed efficientlyKeep the job site clean and well-organizedHandle the loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipmentEnsure attention to detail and follow safety standardsRequirements:Inspect mechanical or industrial equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear, disassemble and repair stamping pressesBasic understanding of piping - lube system repairs, thread pipe, tubing and steam fitting workUnderstanding precise measurement of machine components for installation, repair and quality controlAlign, level and anchor machinerySelect rigging components and develop basic rigging procedures for general load handling activitiesUnder supervision estimate the weight and center-of-gravity of a loadUnderstand load handling equipment dynamics and the associated hazardsAssist with and perform the positioning of chain falls, hoists, blocks, rope, jacks, chains and riggingStick (arc) welding*Torch cuttingBlueprint / Job layout readingFamiliar with pneumatic and hydraulic schematic readingUnderstanding, familiar with confined space entrantRigging:Understanding and familiar with rigging industrial componentPreferred Requirements:Attaching rigging to a load based upon a pre-planned rigging methodSet up and/or operate machinesChauffeurs License & DOT Med CardEquipment & Tool Operation:Aerial lift and forklift experience requiredTrailer loading and securing of material & equipmentChauffeur LIC/Med DOT Physical (preferred)Trailer loading and securing of material & equipment (preferred)Precision measuring equipment (ID/OD micrometers, calipers, dial indicators)Overhead crane certified & qualified (preferred)Material handling equipment (i.e. skates, power dolly's, jack & slides)*Operation of equipment (lathe, mill, saw, drill press, etc.) (preferred)Physical Requirements:Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionallyMust be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazardsMust be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions, and nothing herein restricts managements right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
