Machine Process Technician

Machine Process TechnicianThe Machine Process Technician is responsible for production mold changes into injection plastics presses and all fluid and electrical connections required for the mold to run effectively. In addition, the Process Tech will troubleshoot and make repairs and adjustments throughout the shift to ensure that production runs are completed in a timely manner.Essential FunctionsCommunicate directly and clearly with your team and shift supervisor to ensure effective transition from shift to shift.Follow all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE as required.Ensure safe operation of running presses.Troubleshoot and repair/adjust running presses.Overhead gantry style crane operation via remote control.Remove and reinstall mold assemblies as required according to schedule.Route and connect required coolant and electrical connections.Program control units to specifications to run production.Verify and certify proper operation of presses and molds installed by other team members.Clean up debris and any spillage from mold changes to allow for machine start-up.Perform machine maintenance as required.CompetenciesCommunication skills: verbal, written and electronic.General mechanical knowledge (Machine service knowledge a plus)Problem Solving/Analysis.Time ManagementPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Lifting over 50 lbs and operating torque wrenches and various tools is routine to this position.
