The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machining principles and experience operating a variety of CNC milling machines. Great opportunity for a new graduate to gain experience and grow into a full machinist.ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.Load and unload parts from machines, ensuring proper fixturing and clamping.Select and change cutting tools and adjust machine settings as required.Monitor machining processes, identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.Work with setup machinist to coordinate machining of work pieces.Inspect parts for accuracy and conformance to quality standards using appropriate measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).Maintain a clean and organized work area.Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.Work effectively as part of a team to meet production deadlines.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience operating CNC milling machines or completion of a relevant vocational or technical school program in CNC machining.CAD/CAM knowledge is helpful but not requiredAble to read micrometer, gauges and comparator.
Also able to read blueprints.Good computer skills and math skillsGood verbal & written communication skillsGood organization skills; able to prioritize and plan multiple tasks simultaneouslySelf-motivated; proactive in improving processes and anticipating needs/problemsTeam player; able to work well with a wide variety of peopleQuality and safety focusedAble to read and write fluently in EnglishMust be willing to work some overtime
