Machine OperatorWe are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join our Commercial Finishing department.
The role involves operating the Winding/Unwinding machine to reroll finished material into desired lengths per bolt. This opportunity offers growth potential and a path from contract to permanent employment with increased benefits.ResponsibilitiesOperate the Winding/Unwinding machine to reroll finished wallpaper.Load rolls, set measurements, and start the production process.Wrap and palletize finished products for shipping.Inspect wallpaper for quality, checking for rips and defects.Maintain organized tracking of work orders using paper documentation.Utilize a forklift or 'carpet puller' for handling materials.Lift and manage rolls weighing 35-45 pounds, using electric pallet jacks as needed.Essential SkillsExperience in machine operation and inspection.Ability to lift 40 lbs throughout the shift.Basic math skills.Attention to detail and ability to use a tape measure.Mechanically inclined with experience in slitter and printing machines.Forklift operation experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong attention to detail and quality assurance.Ability to effectively complete paperwork.Safety-oriented mindset.Why Work Here?This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for advancement and potential salary increases. A warehouse professional appearance is required, with steel-toed boots and appropriate attire. Cell phones and earbuds are prohibited on the floor, although speakers at a reasonable volume are allowed. Shifts are available Monday to Friday, with training on the first shift for those transitioning to the second shift.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
