Machine Operator PositionsHamilton Connections is seeking candidates for machine operator positions at a manufacturing company in Walden NY. Day and overnight shifts are available. These are temp-to-hire positions.Machine operators are responsible for operating and maintaining converting machinery used in the manufacturing process, as well as ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.The day shift is 5 a.m.
to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.The overnight shift is 5 p.m.-5 a.m., Monday-Friday.The salary is $23-$25 per hour.Job ResponsibilitiesSafely set up, operate and monitor converting machinery and equipment to meet production goalsComplete converting machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings and calibrating equipmentMonitor the production process, inspect and test materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are metVerify and track all materials for inventory and work in progress regulationsTroubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficientlyTrain and provide guidance to machine assistants and new crew membersKeep machinery and surrounding areas clean and organizedAdhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, wear appropriate PPE as required, report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team memberComplete all necessary documentation for internal or external useEffectively work with other departments or team members to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they ariseOther duties as assignedQualifications2 or more years experience operating machines for production of products, such as converting machineryExperience setting up machines for production jobs, adjusting machine settings during production, and troubleshooting any machine issues during productionHigh school diploma or equivalentMaintain confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive informationExceptional time management, organizational and multitasking skillsAbility to communicate effectivelyProactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or optionsAble to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stretching, reaching, standing, sitting, crawling, climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs.Able to work while wearing PPE when neededAble to pass pre-employment screenings
