Machine OperatorOperate and maintain plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic products, ensuring consistent output, minimal downtime, and adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the production process.ResponsibilitiesOperate plastic injection molding machines in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.Monitor machines during production to ensure continuous and efficient operation.Keep machines operational by observing performance, identifying issues, and promptly notifying a supervisor if the machine jams or malfunctions.Perform basic checks on plastic molds to ensure quality standards are met and identify any defects or irregularities.Cut molded plastic components into individual products with accuracy and attention to detail.Package finished plastic products according to production and quality requirements.Follow all production schedules and instructions to meet daily output goals.Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.Collaborate with supervisors and team members to address production issues and improve processes.Essential SkillsAt least 6 months of manufacturing or production experience.Experience working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.Good hand-eye dexterity for handling molds, cutting components, and packaging products.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Ability to monitor machinery and recognize basic operational issues.Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and consistency.Reliability and willingness to work mandatory overtime when required.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience operating plastic injection molding machines is an advantage.Familiarity with basic quality control practices in a manufacturing setting.Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.Basic mechanical aptitude for understanding machine functions and processes.Why Work Here?Join a stable production environment where you can build hands-on manufacturing experience and develop practical machine operation skills. You will work on the 2nd shift from 1:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with mandatory overtime and occasional Saturday work as needed to meet production demands. The environment involves standing for extended periods, working around machinery, and handling plastic components. You will follow standard safety procedures and wear appropriate work attire suitable for a production floor.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clarita, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
