This role is designed for mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to learn how to operate complex, industrial manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. As a Machine Operator, Trainee, you will receive hands-on training to safely set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production machinery while producing high-quality packaging products that meet customer and company standards.

Final work assignment will be based on business needs, training progression, and demonstrated aptitude.Essential Job FunctionsSafely operate and assist with industrial manufacturing equipment used in extrusion or paper bag productionPerform machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers according to production specificationsRead and follow production orders, schedules, and job documentationLoad raw materials and monitor machine performance during production runsIdentify, troubleshoot, and report mechanical or process issuesConduct quality checks and ensure finished products meet specificationsRecord production output, downtime, scrap, and maintenance activityPackage, label, palletize, and transport finished materials as requiredPerform basic preventive maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping tasksFollow all safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) proceduresWork collaboratively with team members, leads, and supervisorsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn complex machineryManufacturing or machine operation experience preferred, but not requiredBasic math skills and ability to read measuring devicesAbility to understand and follow safety rules, work instructions, and production documentation, with or without reasonable accommodationBasic computer skills or willingness to learn production systemsAbility to work day or night shifts and overtime as neededNon-English-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to perform essential job functions, including:Lifting up to 50 poundsStanding and walking for extended periodsFrequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pullingWorking around moving machinery, noise, and industrial equipmentPre-Employment RequirementsEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of:An online pre-employment skills assessmentA drug screeningA criminal background check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws
