Machine OperatorThis role operates production machinery to manufacture plastic and foam parts used in aerospace cabin installations. You read and interpret blueprints, use precision measurement tools, and work with die-cutting equipment to produce parts to exact specifications and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesOperate production machinery and die-cutting equipment safely and efficiently to manufacture plastic and foam parts.Read and interpret blueprints to understand part dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.Utilize measurement tools to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specification and quality standards.Set up, adjust, and monitor machines during production runs to maintain consistent output and minimize downtime.Manufacture aerospace parts for cabin installation according to detailed specifications and requirements.Handle a wide range of non-metallic materials, from commercial to specification grades, with or without pressure-sensitive adhesive.Support prototype runs through full-scale production, following established processes and documentation.Perform basic inspection of finished parts and make necessary adjustments to equipment or processes.Assist with picking and packing of parts and materials as needed to support production and shipping.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety guidelines and procedures.Essential SkillsProven experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.Proficiency using measurement tools such as calipers, rulers, and other precision instruments.Mechanical aptitude and strong ability to work with tools, machines, and mechanical systems.Attention to detail when working with tight tolerances and specification-grade materials.Capability to work with die-cutting equipment and related fabrication machinery.Basic understanding of quality checks and inspection of manufactured parts.Reliability to work a consistent schedule and follow established procedures and work instructions.Additional Skills & QualificationsCompletion of an NTMA (National Tooling and Machining Association) program or similar technical training is a plus.Experience with laser cutting and die cutting processes is highly beneficial.Experience working with non-metallic materials, including plastics, foams, and adhesive-backed materials.Experience supporting both prototype and full-scale production runs.Ability to perform picking and packing tasks in a production or warehouse setting.Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow written and verbal instructions.Commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.Why Work Here?You join a production environment that values precision, craftsmanship, and continuous learning.

You work with various machines designed for die cutting and fabricating materials from commercial to specification grades, including those with and without pressure-sensitive adhesive. The typical schedule is a daytime shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The environment is production-focused, requiring adherence to safety procedures, proper use of measurement tools and equipment, and attention to cleanliness and organization on the shop floor. Dress is practical and appropriate for a manufacturing setting, with any required protective gear provided in line with safety standards.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
