Other Duties May Be Assigned:Operate assigned machinery and continually work to improve production standardsMaintain product output while ensuring all safety and quality control standards are metResponsible for industrial tools, equipment and maintenance of machinerySetup, output and takedown of all operations on assigned machinesCapable of troubleshooting a machine and making adjustmentsContributes to a team atmosphere and assist others when required or necessaryMust be 18+ years oldValidate customers' requirementsMaintain safe, clean and organized work environmentEducation: High School Diploma and basic mathematical and computer skills requiredExperience:Minimum of 1-3 years of Machine Operator experience required (CNC, Machinist, Extruder, etc.)Training in a process-focused manufacturing center related to the production of finished products and/or wire and cable preferredExperience interpreting specification sheets and job instructionsPrevious experience using Micrometers and Calipers is requiredPhysical Requirements:The job may entail operating within confined spaces, requiring precision and adaptability.
Candidates must navigate tight quarters efficiently while maintaining a focus on safety and task execution.The employee is regularly required to stand up to 80% of their shiftThe employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in addition to maneuvering, moving, pushing and lifting up to 80 poundsLanguage Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees. Proficiency in the English language, verbal and written.Compensation: The hourly rate for this role ranges from $25.00/hour (paid weekly) plus participation in LAPP's bonus plan.
