We are recruiting for Direct Hire Machine Operator Technicians for a company in Kalamazoo! These positions are on 2nd and 3rd shift with starting pay of $21-28/hr depending on experience level.
Must have previous Plastic Molding experience preferrably in Thermo-forming or Vacuum-forming.
Must have mechanical aptitude with experience setting up jobs, making adjustments, and checking quality utilizing precision measuring instruments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor thermoforming machines to produce quality products that meet specifications.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, GMP requirements, and OSHA regulations.
- Coordinate assigned Packers to maintain safe and efficient line performance.
- Perform and document required quality checks; identify and place non-conforming product on hold.
- Load raw materials, remove scrap/web, and monitor material usage during production.
- Adjust machine settings and process parameters within approved operating limits to maintain product quality.
- Accurately record production, quality, scrap, and downtime data.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Troubleshoot minor process issues and request maintenance support when needed.
- Assist in training new operators and support overall team development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
