Machine OperatorWe have an immediate opportunity for a Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate and troubleshoot machinery used to produce high-quality food packaging products. This position is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn specialized processes.Pay & Schedule:Pay based on experience + $0.75/hour night shift differential (if applicable)12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:15 PM or 7:00 PM–7:15 AM)Every other weekend offKey ResponsibilitiesSafely operate thermoforming and extrusion equipment in accordance with plant safety procedures, PPE requirements, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocolsStart, stop, monitor, and adjust machines to ensure efficient operation; troubleshoot basic issues and report malfunctions to a supervisorFollow emergency procedures for power outages, equipment failures, and workplace incidents; report all safety concerns or injuries immediatelyRead job specifications and maintain proper machine settings to support production efficiency, meet production goals, and minimize scrapFeed materials, monitor machine speeds, and perform general production tasks including packing products as neededPerform quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications, GMP standards, and food safety requirementsComplete logs, reports, and required documentation accuratelyHandle materials and operate equipment such as lift trucks (or willingness to learn)Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform basic preventive maintenance tasksCommunicate operational, safety, and quality issues promptly and assist team members as neededParticipate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives, including hazard identification and food safety programsQualifications2+ years of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsWillingness to learn new equipment and processesAbility to follow instructions and work safelyBasic computer skillsFlexibility to work overtime and rotating shiftsMore than a job.
