Machine Operator- Swing

Machine Operator OpportunityLocal Canby company is looking to add a Machine Operator to their team. The ideal candidate will be looking for a long-term opportunity and is interested in working a swing shift. If you are looking for an opportunity that provides career stability, opportunity for growth, and competitive pay, then look no further, apply today!Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate production machines and make adjustments as needed.Be able to learn and get to the pointTroubleshoot production machines as you learn and progress in the role.Perform equipment changeovers.Responsible for quality control, ensuring parts are within proper specifications and tolerances, and rejecting bad parts.Understand and follow SOC practicesInterpret control charts and adjust when necessary to produce the product within specificationsReject the product when outside of specificationsFollow all standard company procedures and job safety requirementsOccasionally operate a forklift to maintain the raw material supply and stockComplete daily production logsPerform routine preventive maintenance non-production machineCommunicate effectively with operators from other shifts to update on production issuesClean and maintain the work areaTurn off/lock out equipment when not in useExperience, Qualities and SkillsPrevious machine operation experience is great, but not requiredAble to use measuring devices; calipers, micrometers, load testing equipment, and comparators.Someone who has worked a swing shift and is comfortable working those hoursAttention to detailAbility to work in a team environment.Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.Ability to multitaskBasic computer skillsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsSelf-starterAbility to use computers and document information in Excel.Experience in manufacturing or production experience preferred but not requiredAdvanced skills helpful in the following areas: CNC programming experience, experience using one or more of the following tools: lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, drill press, and vertical/horizontal cut-off saw.
