Machine OperatorEnvironmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing shop. This position is available on first shift.Benefits:Weekly PayMedical, Dental, & Vision Insurance401(k) with a generous company matchFree Basic Life InsuranceShort & Long-Term DisabilitySchedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessaryLocation: Train in High Point, NC and eventually move to new facility in Asheboro, NCResponsibilities:Create nested parts packages and upload them to the equipment on the production floorEnsure parts packages are organized and released per scheduleManage incoming material inventory spreadsheetSupport CNC operators and production SupervisorsAssist operators and maintenance staff in the performance of preventative maintenance and/or repairsUnderstand and follow QA-QC standardsAbility to learn specific software required for each machine (Pro-Cam, Advanced Steel, etc.…)Position work piece onto table or into fixture or with jib or craneSelect carbon or metal-coated carbon electrode, gas nozzle, electric current, and gas pressure, according to thickness and type of metal, data on charts, or record of previous runsInsert electrode and gas nozzle into holder and connects hose from holder to compressed gas supplyTurn knobs to select amperageTurn lever to adjust jet of gas to blow away molten metalStrike arc and guide electrode along lines to cut (melt) through metalCut off chips or spur and burn out cracks and holesEducation Requirements/Qualifications:Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required.High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant experience is a plus.Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Job Requirements/Special Skills:Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish requiredAbility to work independently as well as part of a team.Strong verbal communication skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand and work for prolonged periods of timeAbility to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibelsKnowledgeable in metal identification as required (Structural Steel, Aluminum, Pipe, Sheet Metal)
