Control Process OperatorMeyer Utility Structures is currently looking to hire a Control Process Operator for our plant operation located in Gadsden, AL. The Control Process Operator sets up and operates machines, and may use blueprints, adjust for materials used, verify dimensional requirements, and transfer materials to storage areas.Meyer Utility Structures is a proud subsidiary of the infrastructure company, Arcosa, Inc. Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications.What You'll Do:Operate any or all the following machines: Cut Tables, Quick Mill Machine, HAAS Machine, Drill PressForm and/or cut materials into predesignated shapes and sizesOperate overhead cranes and/or forklifts to move materials safelyTroubleshoot equipment and make basic adjustmentsMake general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequenceFollow all safety rules and practicesOther job duties as assignedWhat You'll Need:Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a 20' or larger break press, Plasma Table, or Drill Press, preferably breaking and/or cutting steel up to 2" thickWorking knowledge/experience with angle grinders/metal manufacturing/fabricationMinimum of 1 year of experienceExperience operating overhead cranesExperience operating forkliftsAbility to proficiently read blueprints and verify dimensional requirementsThe ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendanceThe ability to stand throughout the day, and climb on/off equipment, and lift materials more than 50 pounds regularlyA high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goalMUS276Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
