Machine Operator Specialist IThe CNC Machine Operator supports manufacturing operations by setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality precision components. This role is responsible for ensuring machining accuracy through in-process inspections, adherence to work instructions, and compliance with quality standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining high workmanship standards, while contributing positively to a team-oriented environment.Location: Camden, NJ (On-site)Primary Responsibilities:Set up CNC mill and lathe machines and produce quality parts using provided programs, fixtures, and tool listsMonitor machine feed rates and speeds during machining processesRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsPerform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet tolerances and surface finish requirementsUse precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) to verify part accuracySet, manage, and monitor tooling, including tool life and wearPerform basic mathematical calculations; GD&T knowledge is a plusWork with a variety of metals and understand material characteristicsPerform basic preventative maintenance on machinesMaintain high standards of quality, safety, and workmanshipFollow all work instructions and procedures within the quality management systemCollaborate effectively within a team and maintain a positive work approachRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or apprenticeship program preferred (or equivalent experience)3–5 years of CNC machining experience required; 5+ years preferredExperience operating and setting up CNC mills and lathes requiredExperience with CNC programming and controls (Fanuc, HAAS preferred)Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsProficiency using precision measurement tools and inspection techniquesStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to follow detailed work instructions and quality proceduresPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movementsAbility to work in manufacturing or warehouse environmentsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsA Generation Ahead by Design™ Investing in people who power the future.
