Position Summary
Achieves and maintains company-established goals for efficiency, quality, and safety by following all procedures.
Main Responsibilities
Holds overall line responsibility, from production to packaging:
- Starts and stops the machine
- Performs parison controls
- Monitors material control (weight distribution, regrind levels, tail lengths, etc.)
- Performs regular quality control and visual quality checks throughout the shift
- Prepares the machine for mold changes
- Ensures goods are produced in the correct quantity and to agreed specifications
- Accurately records goods produced and problems encountered during the shift
- Performs line clearance
- Completes autonomous maintenance activities
- Assists the Machine Operator II, Shift Supervisor, and Mold Change Team with mold and color changes as needed
- Works as part of a team and helps the team operate as efficiently as possible
- Maintains good housekeeping in and around the machine and within the department

Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or mechanical background in the plastics industry preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated mechanical ability
