Machine Operator/Reclaim Operator

Machine Operator/Reclaim OperatorThis position is responsible for operating recycle lines and properly filling out paperwork, production schedule, set-up instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications, etc. This position has multiple levels with advancement based on demonstrated operator knowledge and ability/department developed criteria.Responsibilities:Understand and follow safety procedures/policiesOperate reclaim machines in accordance with standard operating procedures, quality procedures, and training to meet or exceed productivity requirementsFollow direction and work in a safe manner following all company policies and proceduresProperly fill out daily production paperwork including production and downtimeAssist in extrusion/recycle when necessaryRequired to dump proper RPP in silo(s) on daily basis and keep entire area in a clean and organized fashionAssist in plant cleanup where and when necessary to include moving rolls and loading scrapPerform quality checks of material being produced and complete related documentation; monitor materials to ensure those contaminated by foreign materials do not enter reclaim machinesMonitor reclaim machines constantly to ensure dough ball (polyfill) does not form and cause downtimeDiagnose and complete minor repairsMaintain a clean and safe work areaOperate forklift as neededOther duties as assignedRequirements:High School diploma or equivalentAbility to work 12-hour day and night rotating shiftsWork overtime, weekends, and holidays as requiredDemonstrated mechanical/analytical ability preferredBasic computer (Microsoft Office Applications) and math skillsSatisfactorily complete training courses as determined by managementElite Staffing, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
