Machine OperatorLocation: Reading, PA All Shifts: Rotating (1st and 2nd) and 3rd ShiftPay Rate: Starting at $24.23/hr plus shift differential, with potential rate increases after initial training periodWe're seeking a skilled Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team in extrusion and compression molding departments. In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment in alignment with our quality, safety, and production standards. If you're mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), schedules, and order specifications.

Coordinate with setup operators during teardowns and new setups.Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor equipment, materials, and environmental conditions to detect issues and ensure smooth operation. Make real-time adjustments as needed.Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer and internal quality standards. Document all findings and take corrective action when necessary.Documentation & Reporting: Accurately record production data using production systems and following all required documentation protocols.Preventive Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain machine efficiency and workplace safety (6S practices).

Support general upkeep of the production area.Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety protocols, SOPs, Control Plans, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to ensure a safe work environment.Other Duties as Assigned: Support the team with additional tasks, including training new employees and assisting with process improvements.Additional ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts and powered hand trucks to load materials and transport finished goodsPerform operator-level preventive maintenance on machines and toolsWhat You BringHigh school diploma or GED requiredOSHA-certified forklift operation experience (stand-up and walk-behind trucks), preferredBasic mechanical aptitude with experience using hand/power tools and measuring instrumentsUnderstanding of raw materials, production flow, and quality control practicesComputer proficiency, especially in ERP systemsStrong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safetyPay Transparency:The salary range for this position is $24.32. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
