Machine OperatorProduction Machine Operator Job DescriptionDays/Hours: Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:00pmDepartment: ProductionPay Rate: $20-$23 / HR (based on experience)General SummaryThis position is responsible for ensuring that the machinery is running smoothly, meeting production goals and producing quality products. Machine Operators will have good mechanical and trouble shooting skills. Detail orientated, able to follow instructions carefully and accurately.

Additionally, the Machine Operator position is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality and safety procedures and for participation in performance management processes.Primary ResponsibilitiesOperates machinery of several types at varying stages of the production line, always performing actions quickly and safely within all applicable SOPS, cGMPS, etc.Meet and exceed the production requirements based on the capacity for each filling line.Adjusting equipment as needed, troubleshooting, and resolving operating problems. Involving maintenance when necessary.Setup and operate all functions and capabilities on a filler machine, with minimal supervision or direction.Monitor machinery for abnormal behavior.Ensures machinery efficiency and maximizes run capacity and speed for optimal productivity.Assist Maintenance with machine setups and upcoming changeovers for production runs.Assist in training and developing incoming operators when requested or when required to do so.Flexible and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge working with Tronic labeler machines or of similar labeler machines.Investigate and report all incidents (accidents, poor performance, kit shortages, kitting errors, excessive scrap)Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesThorough understanding of applicable Quality Control processes and proceduresMechanical and troubleshooting ability.Intimate operating knowledge of all available processing equipment such as fillers, labelers, transfers, coding, etc.Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by the schedule.In depth understanding of established Team Manufacturing values and customer service policiesBasic understanding of computers and data recordingGood oral and written communication skillsBasic math skillsBilingual in english and spanish preferredEducation and ExperienceExperience as a Machine Operator with 2 to 3 years of experience.High School Diploma or equivalent requiredPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentMust be able to stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 50lbs.Must show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment within the department.Must be flexible and available to work Fridays hours when necessary, some overtime may be required.
