Hiring for Machine Operators Immediately!Pay: $20/hrShift: 1st shift (6am-2:30pm Mon-Friday)ResponsibilitiesOperate and tend multiple production machines such as laminators, rewinders, and roller machines to cut productsHang rolls, load and unload material, and move product from storage to machines as needed for production.Start up, set up, adjust, slow down, and monitor machines throughout the production run to ensure proper operation.Record running conditions, process changes, and production data accurately and consistently.Ensure materials run within specified quality and production standards, and make minor adjustments to maintain specifications.Care for tooling and equipment during setup and operation of woven and paper materials.Inspect materials during and after processing to identify defects or issues and take appropriate corrective actions.Pack and label machined materials, finished goods, boxes, and pallets for shipping and inventory.Read and follow work orders and production instructions to complete tasks correctly and on time.Perform minor troubleshooting on machines and equipment to resolve basic operational issues.Assist other machine operators and act as an operator assistant when needed to support the production team.Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and machine activities as required.Keep the work area clean and organized by maintaining housekeeping standards in the production and warehouse areas.Follow all safety requirements and procedures, including working safely around large machinery and equipment.Support general labor and general production tasks, including packaging, loading machines, and measuring materials.Collaborate as a team player, helping in any area needed within the plant and stepping in to assist the smaller production group.Use basic computer skills to support machine operation and production tracking at a level similar to using a smartphone.Lift and move materials weighing 20-30 pounds throughout the day as part of normal production activities.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing facility.Experience operating machinery or working as a machine operator, operator assistant, or in general production.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Forklift experience and ability to safely move materials, boxes, and pallets.Ability to read and interpret work orders and follow written production instructions.Basic troubleshooting skills for minor machine and equipment issues.Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to assist in any area as a team player.Capability to lift 20-30 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.Ability to read a tape measure accurately and weigh packages correctly.Basic math skills for measurement, counting, and simple calculations.Comfort working around large industrial machinery and equipment.Basic computer skills at the level of operating an iPhone or Android device.Mechanical inclination and ability to understand how machines operate.Attention to detail for inspecting materials and maintaining accurate records.Reliability and a solid work history, preferably in paper or corrugated box environments, though not required.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
